NACUSAsf Concerts

NACUSAsf organizes concerts of its members' works on different models. With the exception of curated concerts, the chapter provides the venue and publicity, and usually a recording.

• Hired Ensemble concerts: The chapter hires an existing ensemble/performers. The selection committee does an initial review, but the performers make the final decision on which pieces to program.
• Composers Performance Ensemble concerts: The chapter provides performers, usually a pick-up ensemble. Ideas for instrumentation are discussed at board meetings and on the members' email list. The selection committee chooses which submissions will be programmed.
• Composers & Friends concerts: The composers provide their own performers. Normally all submissions are accepted, unless there's too much music for one concert. Composers may coordinate among themselves to see if they can use the same performers.
• Member Curated concerts are organized by chapter members. NACUSAsf provides only publicity. The concert program is submitted to NACUSAsf and all composers presenting works in the concert must be NACUSAsf members.

NACUSAsf members are also eligible for NACUSA calls for scores and may be eligible for some calls issued by other NACUSA chapters.

NACUSAsf members will have networking opportunities in addition to updates on calls for scores, competitions, and grants. A valuable benefit of membership is the opportunity to interact with other local composers.
