NACUSAsf Meeting: May 2, 2001 at the home of Nancy Bloomer Deussen

Treasurer's Report - tax exempt status application in progress, current balance ca. $3000, last year at this time, ca. $800

Publicity Chair's Report - June 2 concert info sent to all local papers. Carolyn Hawley will join Publicity committee. Thank you Carolyn!

June 2 concert:

Jong S. Kim, a sophmore at Cupertino High School is the winner of the 2001 NACUSAsf Student Composition Contest.

All performers have been secured:
Kathy Nitz, soprano
Kristina Robertson-Woo, soprano
Frank Farris, tenor
Diana Tucker, flute, sax
Dahna Rudin, cello
Suzanne Warren, piano
Jeana Ogren, piano
Carolyn Hawley, piano

Rehearsals are being scheduled by Michael Kimbell.

Anne Baldwin and Sondra Clarke will take care of the door at the concert.

I'lana is getting married! As a result she needs to streamline her job as treasurer by
redistributing the "non-treasurer' duties:
All membership duties - Michael Kimbell
Buying stamps for mailing parties - Owen
For concert door people will be appointed per concert.

Nominations are being accepted for appointments to the 2001-2002 Programming Committee. Term is 2 years.
Nominations: Kathy Nitz (C.P.E. performer), Brian Holmes, Lori Griswold, Joanne Carey - more nominations and election via eGroups e-mail
Sondra will remain for 1 more year to finish her 2 year term.

Mailing Party - flyers were, addressed, return addressed and stamped. Flyers will be mailed to Jong S. Kim, Bob Hall, and Bruce Hamill.

Fall Concert - Owen will investigate the Menlo Brass.

New venue? - Portola Valley Pres. + (John Beeman will call)

Contractor appointed: John Beeman has been appointed as contractor. He will make initial to CPE and contract extra players
